All About Adult Slo-Pitch

Slo-pitch is a variant of softball. In Slo-pitch, there are ten players to a team and legal pitches must travel in an arc from six to twelve feet high. There must be at least 2 female players on the field at any time. The Don Victoria Softball League’s adult slo-pitch division has as its focus on fun and recreation for our players. We are a non-competitive league.

Our Slo-Pitch division plays on Friday evenings and Sunday evenings. Parks to be confirmed for 2012 season. Games were held in the 2011 at Hobart Park, Muirhead Public School and Wigmore Park. Our season runs from mid-April through to the end of June.

Registration Information for Slo-Pitch

Registrations for the adult league (17 years and over) can be submitted either as a complete team or individually.
The 2012 Registration Fees for slo-pitch are $85 per player.
You will need a baseball glove and a good pair of running shoes to play. We provide the equipment, team shirts and trained umpires.

Registering as a complete team

The team registration fee is $1190, with a 14-player maximum. (This is $85 per player for a full team.)
Additional players can be added as substitutes (up to 6 additional 'subs' are permitted). 'Sub' players will be required to pay $25.00/player to cover administration and insurance costs. If 'Sub' players wish to have their own uniforms, they will be required to pay the full registration cost of $85.00, otherwise thet can share a uniform with another player.
Teams are welcome to bring their own team sponsors, or sponsor themselves, at an additional cost of $300. This is the 2012 sponsorship fee.
